I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over ten years of practice in the field. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, CA and my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from USC in Los Angeles, CA. Learning about and studying relationships has been a life-long passion, and I feel privileged to use my passion to help others.

My practice began as a child and adolescent therapist utilizing an evidenced based modality called Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My experience working with younger clients served as a strong foundation for my current practice, as I believe much of our early experiences and attachments guide our current lives.

I participated in a year-long certificate program at The Sanville Institute in attachment theory, which further deepened my integration of affect regulation theory, trauma-focused theories and current neuroscience into my practice.

Currently, I am working towards certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. Please see my page on couples for more information on this highly successful approach.

I have experience working with individuals, groups, children and families within diverse communities and within an array of counseling settings. I have extensive experience working with survivors of serious traumas, including sexual assault and early relational trauma. Much of this experience was gained while working exclusively at the UCLA Rape Treatment Center in Los Angeles.

Today, my practice focuses on working with survivors of trauma, individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, pregnancy and postpartum transitions, general life stressors, and couples in distress. My primary clientele are adults and couples.
